How I can help
Web Design
My flexible approach means that I can help at any stage of the project. So if you can take care of the design yourself or by another designer, that’s not a problem as I can develop the website from there.
However, if you need help with the design as well, I’m able to to design an engaging, well balanced website. We can start with wireframes to set out the structure through to the design using Adobe XD.
Front-end development
My go to framework for front-end development is Bootstrap. It provides a great source of default elements and responsive structure to use as a base going forward.
I create fast to load, responsive templates from the signed off designs, which are tested across multiple devices including mobile, tablet and desktop. I will also test across the main browsers including Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE10+.
WordPress
When it comes to integrating the signed off templates, I can work with either ExpressionEngine or WordPress. Both platforms have their pros and cons, so we can discuss the best way to go with your project.
Or if you are already familiar with one we can go with that. When it comes to working with WordPress and WooCommerce, I prefer to create a custom theme instead of working with theme builders.
Expression Engine CMS
ExpressionEngine is a very powerful, fast and feature rich content management system (CMS).
Using a different approach to managing the content of your website, EE uses 'channels' and 'entries' providing a very flexible architecture for the sites assets. It has a number of default fieldtypes allowing us to create some very easy to update sections of your website.
Ongoing Support
Once a project has been completed I would always provide some initial support in case of any teething problems. This is included within my initial quote for the project, but if a more involved maintenance service is required we can agree a separate cost for that going forward.
Either way I take support quite seriously and will always try my best to fix any issues as quickly as possible.
WordPress Maintenance
Let's be honest, WordPress can be a very effective platform, however it's main downfall is it's own popularity and magnetism for spammers and hackers.
If you own and run a website using WordPress you will need to take maintenance and updates seriously. Otherwise, at some stage, you will have an issue with either spammers or hackers.
